Nice video, Carl. This concept about using contexta, not due dates, is essential for GTD.

Cool to see how your videos have improved over the last couple of years. Including your setup and taught process.

Thanks for this. I've been using GTD for 2 years now, but all on paper lists. Looking to move into the 1990s and using Todoist app, but wasn't sure how to map the process to the tool. This really helped clear it up.

Thank you for the trip to the origin of my task planning :-) It is helpful to remember it again and again.

Hi Carl, I've been watching your videos on GTD Setup in todoist for a while. I just wanted to say that they are really goot and clarify a lot! and I' saying his as a GTDer for about 10 years straight ;)

However I have one question to you on Your Setup and GTD itself. How do you cope with deadlines? We say a lot that GTD is not about dates etc. But every one of us comes to a moment when a date on a task is inevitable. For example: If I had to create a report for a meting that will take place in a month from now, the next action basically would not have any particular date, but the entire project does have a deadline. One examle is with a project for next month (and that is relatively easy, because you will have four weekly reviews before that time, so you have a lot of time to react). Another examle would be with a project that is due in let's say, 3 days from now.

If you don't put dates on tasks, how do you make sure you won't miss the deadline?

I would really apreciate your answer on that or at least a link to a video you exlpained it (I'm not sure if you ever did, but you have so many videos, I managed to watch maybe 5% so far :D) Thank you!

I've been trying to implement GTD, but I'm hopelessly confused. This just seems to me like a good way to miss a bunch of stuff. For example, if I'm at the office how do I remember to take care of tasks under labels like "Boss". It's not like Todoist opens that task when the boss walks into my office and I'm not likely to remember to link seeing the boss with searching under that label. Same goes with "Waiting_for" and "Sales_team". GTD is supposed to be good for those of us with ADHD, but, at least to me it just feels like my tasks are hidden under these labels. Out of sight, out of mind. Better to have a daily to-do list that keeps all the tasks I need in sight so I won't lose track of them.

Not using todist, but your tutorial is great and I'm using it for the app that I'm using. Thanks.

I notice an evernote logo in todoist. Is that an integration w Evernote. If so, how is it set up?

As you are telling the people about the Video it is a logo on the top right of the screen. It is a c & P with a half circle around them. This logo is very small.

Around 7:50 you said "I've got nothing in my wife" and I spat coffee.
