I help people all over the world get better at time management and become more productive without losing sight of the things that are important in life such as family and friends and goals.

I am a writer of three books on working with new technology so you can focus on the things you enjoy doing, including the popular Your Digital Life and Your Digital Life 2.0, I know what it is like when you feel overwhelmed by the work and distractions.

“Building a life of joy and happiness begins with knowing what you want to achieve and creating a plan to go out and achieve it. My mission is to help everyone achieve their maximum potential."

Why I do what I do:
Imagine waking up every morning with a massive enthusiasm to get started. Knowing exactly what you want to accomplish that day and why you want to accomplish it. Having no stress and knowing that whatever anyone, or anything, throws at you, you can handle it with ease. When you finish your day, you do so with the feeling you have had a productive and successful day. Everyday.

That is what I teach and that is my purpose. To help everyone learn how to manage their life and their time so they can enjoy their lives and build a life they are truly proud of.

If that is what you want, please join me in helping others find joy and enthusiasm in what they do and to help them build a life of happiness, success and fulfilment. We can all do it. You just need to learn how to do it.

Share this video with as many people as you can and together let us change the lives of all those who are stressed out and unhappy with their lives.

Thanks for your todoist tutorials Carl! I made a beautiful setup thanks to them. Now I only have to start using it. Might as well make this my first task ;)

When I watched this video the second time, I went to click the "like" button. I forgot that I liked it the first time. Very useful advice and motivating.

No worries over a well deserved rant. The whole point of a personal productivity system is that it is indeed personal. As in set up specifically for the individual user.

If you do a certain thing that may or may not be necessary or wanted by the masses, who cares?! If it helps you work your system and keep it updated and useable, than more power to you!

Thanks for another useful video on Todoist. I’ve just started using this app about a month ago and your videos have been a great help for me to customize it to a way that works well for me.

Thanks for that cool glimpse into your current setup - I like the ongoing refinement and clarity with respect to the overall workflow and how AOF and projects are differentiated right now. Maybe you could anonymize the next action list and prepare a deep dive on that? - Thanks again and best regards from Berlin, Per #teamtickler ;-)

I'm with you, dark mode just doesn't sit well with me. I use the Sunflower color, because I think it is uplifting making it even better than the red.

Great video Carl 😀
I've noticed you do not filter out your routines on your Golden 10 filter. If I didn't I would have more than 10 tasks just in routines

I really like your setup, I was able to find your previous video that covered Today”s Objectives, but not Today’s Focus. Where can I get a better understanding of the difference between them?

Hi, Carl! Thanks for the useful video! BTW, I use the TICKLER list for my home/business "preventive maintenance tasks" (e.g, test generators, restock firewood, etc.)...so, Ticker is good and useful for me. Cheers!

Hi Carl, Thanks for this great video again. It's very interesting to see how your setup develops and it always gives me some new ideas. I noticed that your GOALS project is not there anymore, though you didn't mention this in the video. Can you say something about why you're not using it anymore? Thank you in advance :-)

Thank you for this terrific video and information. How do you set up your "Tony Robbins Project Template"? Is this something you import each time or do you have to create it for each project?

Thanks Carl this stuff is always very helpful to me. Question, how do you add the what/why/how sections? I like the idea of being able to keep the thesis of a project or task at the forefront so 'scope creep' doesn't derail me. But I can't seem to figure out how to add this info. Thanks!

Thanks Carl. One question. In your write the book project you had notes about the tasks (What am I doing, why am I doing it etc). How do you get these notes there? Thanks

Thanks Carl. Not sure if I missed it but, what are your criteria for the pinned searches? And how often do you review and add tasks to Today's objectives / Today's focus?

Thank you, Carl! Could you please tell us what are the settings for "Today's focus" filter?

Hi Carl, Just an observation - I noticed that in addition to filters you also use labels in your current setup. Labels such as "Writing" and "Read/Review", for example. I only use a "Next Action" label which I've set up as a filter as well. Can you tell us a little bit about how you're using these different labels in your setup? Do you add them only to certain types of tasks? Also, I'm curious to know how you handle things like "Calls" or "Errands" in your current system? Thanks in advance!

Brand new to Todoist & Carl! What are the query differences between Carl's "Today's Objectives" and "Today's Focus"? Why is his Today's Objectives empty while his Today's Focus has multiple tasks? Thank you for help!
