Thank you so much for great video. I had no idea that it was important to change the settings on windows as well as the external sound card. I had problems as I was only changing settings on the sound card.

I am using the M-Audio Uno USB MIDI interface. However, I can't find it under the "sound" tab. It doesn't exist even though it is connected!


I have the same problem with Audacity! Nothing shows up!

can I record the audio from my keyboard onto audacity if my keyboard only has a USB port and a headphone jack? (I have purchased a Y line adapter for the headphone output but now I don't know what to do) If so, then how would I do that? I have a behringer mixer soundboard and a behringer u control 222.. Your lessons are just incredible, don't see anything that much in depth and clear around! Could you please give an idea what went wrong in my attempt to connect keyboard PSR-S670 with PC through Behringer  UM2? Microphone works fine, no problem to record tracks in Audacity, but keyboard is not responsive after I got new computer. In old one Audacity recognized it and I saw it listed in drop-down menus but not now.  I can't comprehend why it works for mic anyway but not for keyboard? Your help would be so much appreciated!

Hello. You mention that I need to connect the piano to the usb interface using two audio inputs, but, if I connect it using a stereo P10 - XLR cable, wouldn't I get the same quality?

Thanks for the video. I really need your advice. I have Akai advance 61 keyboard controller with Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 audio interface. I am setting up home studio. Which cable should I use to connect it to the Scarlett audio interface. I dont want to use direct usb connection to computer for keyboard. Because its giving me problem of latency.
1) So which cable I use to connect the keyboard to the audio interface?
2) Also, does it give me sound in the monitor speakers live when I play?

It could be very helpful for me, but... I don't have linear input on my audiointerface (it's Roland Quad capture) - there's only co-axial In. And there's only headphones socket (a pair of them) on my digital piano. Is there any way to record my perfomance?

Hi, I see that your audio interface has 2 line inputs, which is great for keyboards. I am planning to buy the Focusrite Solo, is it possible for me to connect my keyboard to that interface with only 1 single line input?

Hello. First of all, thank you so much for this series of videos. I've been struggling with my piano and sound card for quite a while now. I would HIGHLY appreciate if you could answer my question. I've got an Audiobox USB soundcard and a Yamaha P95. My digital piano doesn't have a line out. Only two headphones. So I connect a cable from the headphone to the Audiobox USB and then into my computer. What drives me mad is that it captures noises. I've bought many different cables already thinking the problem was the cables but I can't do away with the noise. I'm using Adobe Audition as DAW. My three latest videos on YouTube were recorded with this method and you'll see that the volume isn't too high because of the noise and quality isn't so good either. Do you know this Audiobox USB? Should I buy another one, such as a Fast Track? Thank you so much. I'd really appreciate if you could answer me.

I'm having a sound driver problem. Once I enable the ASIOall driver in my DAW my standard apps go silent such as You Tube. So I cannot listen to your you tube tutorials without resetting the computer sound back to the default Windows conextant driver. What a pain in the #%%$

I currently do not have an audio interface because my keyboards all have usb input. Would an audio interface solve this driver problem?
