I’m honestly shocked that taking this thing down with a pipe and a knife worked. You’d think if that was possible her gun would have had more effect

Love how the teacher completely ignores the bullying going on in her own classroom and instead goes after villainizing the parent

Thank you for the SFW captions on the recap of a movie about a child feeding roadkill to his cryptid family.

The thing that made me so sad about the movie is that despite their issues and paranormal aspects, the family all tried to protect each other. Lucas tried to take care of his little brother and his dad. Even while transforming, his dad took Aidan in to the attic with him to keep him from hurting Lucas. Even after he fully became a Wendigo, his dad still tried to protect his kids. And even after becoming beasts, Lucas still wanted to help his family.

They all still tried to take care of each other through all the chaos.

"So, of course, we're going to watch a bunch of white people try and deal with it."

-Kevin Costner waves.

You've always been pretty spot on with your comedy. But you keep getting better and better. I laughed loudly at that one.

3 reasons I'd guess the older cop didn't tell them about the Not Deer sooner.
1 He wasn't sure if it was a Not Deer or a hide-behind. The two are very different and killed in different ways.
2 He knew they woukdnt believe him and the mine was too dangerous for them to think he was off his nut
3 He didn't want to attract its attention by talking about it in its DEN. (Some legends say to name the beast is to draw it to you. *)

*This doesn't work with Chris Hemsworth.

Yeah the smell of death is more than enough probable cause to enter the house without a warrant. They wouldn't have needed to wait for a warrant the next day. Love your videos man. You're awesome.

It's sad that the smartest person in this movie is the traumatized 12 year old. The meth cookers use flares in a lab (asking for an explosion) and then follow spooky sounds past protective talismans in an abandoned mine. The teacher and the principle casually walk into the house of a known meth cook, which is incredibly stupid even if he isn't possessed. The deputy clearly knows what it going on the moment he sees the eaten body, and understands that it will only get worse, yet doesn't gather a hunting party to deal with the problem. If I'm him, I'm not going anywhere without one of those medicine bags and an automatic shotgun loaded with slugs. If possible, I'm calling the national guard and having them set up a trap with some dead animals in a killbox covered by a couple mk 19 grenade launchers.

I don't know if you've seen it, but there is a good similar movie called Dark Was the Night that you might want to check out. It's less depressing, and with fewer stupid people, but the monster CGI is somewhat worse. People in it actually load up on guns and try to use choke points for defense though, so it's a lot less exasperating.

I can imagine all the people rushing in after a minute....

Im really sad they strayed a lot from the short story. Those creatures were horrifying in that story.

To note the dad was still in the proccess of becoming a monster and locked himself up when they found his partner's dead body in the woods. So there very much is still the first windigo from the mineshaft to deal with. Just saying

Yeah, I agree. A Wendigo movie would be an opportunity to have a Native American lead. Or First Nations. You don't get to see many Native American leads. And almost every movie that has someone Native American in it, ends up being a favored character. Speaking of, I'm curious to see how you would do Prey cause that girl was pretty smart. Most have her choices were the dead point. However, I do love Karey Russel. But Wendigo is a great folklore to do a horror movie on. I find it to be one of the most terrifying creatures. This was a good movie. But again it was a missed opportunity for more native american actors.

The thing with this movie is that it shows them getting infected, but it never shows what happen to the first one. Like, where did it go cause if it was dead, the body should still be in that mine? If it is alive, it is probably still out there, killing more people. So basically, we might have 3 in the kid and cop turn, and I know that the teacher isn't getting any more plot armor.
