U.S., Canada and Mexico ink new USMCA trade deal

After months of negotiations,... the U.S., Mexico and Canada have signed a new revised North American free-trade pact.
The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement,... which is the new name for the renegotiated NAFTA pact,.. was passed on Tuesday after U.S. Democrats pressed for changes, particularly to strengthen enforcement of new Mexican labor laws.
U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and Mexico's undersecretary for North America, Jesus Seade took part in the signing in Mexico City.
The three countries agreed to make changes to several passages, including labor, steel and aluminum trade,... as well as quicker access to generic drugs.
