JWST just took an incredible (and spooky) image of a molecular cloud of space dust, gas and ice, called Chameleon I. The team also took spectra and discovered several molecules that would be essential for building a habitable exoplanet. They're also needed for sugars and alcohol, so all in all a pretty useful cloud...

The clouds are beautifully structured. The radiation given off by the formation of the proto star is amazing. The elements and molecules revealed by the spectra reveal many complex organic molecules which I find very exciting. Many thanks Chris for another fascinating and informative video

Good grief! Amazing science going on, producing gorgeous eye-candy 🤩
Btw, I reckon the banana squidge is a stellar bow-wave ⛴

That new research shocked me... Well its you who zoom in and see patiently each Jwst image... I couldn't spot that gravitationally lensed galaxy... Anyway that was awesome.. At the end of this video you talk about Phangs team on twitter making images of different colors with greater clarity... If I am not wrong in you videos about a couple of months ago, you also talked about a woman/girl who gives different colors to JWST videos and it was awesome... Can you please tell me that name of that woman and the platform on which she posts those pictures..

So, if you were able to enter these densest nebulae and turn on a bunch of lights, would you even see much light being reflected (as portrayed in several Star Trek movies and episodes, for example) or are they still way to sparse to see anything around you?
