TBF, the ads were HORRID. I didn't wanna go see it until the reviews were RAVING about how good this movie was. At that point, the damage tends to be done. Unless we can pull off an Elemental (where the movie bombs at first but then becomes a big hit), we'll have to settle for giving it a cult following

I honestly think part of the reason why this happens is because the general audience has lost faith in Hollywood, they tend to make good movies that once they earn big at the box office they turn around and make crappy sequels, just look at joker 2

It can also make its money back from digital and home media sales. Plus, the toy sales really help with movies like this (Godzilla: King of the Monsters being a good example).

Oh my gosh this movie was so good but why did almost no one go see it!!! I want a sequel to this thing so bad who knows maybe the love towards this thing will be enough but it might be a while before we get a sequel if so. Great movie
