Ive always loked their relationship. Its complicated, but david is definitely one of golds only friends.

Maybe he lost his memories when the curse first struck, but i don't think they came back when he heard the name Emma. Your forgetting that he specifically choose to give Henry to Regina because he was the savior's son. In 3x9 he had a sad look on his face when he said "You should always put your children first, " which meant that he remembered his son.

It’s kinda crazy when you realize that Gold is trying to stop Henry from coming cause he knows the boy that helps him find his son will be his downfall, and he doesn’t want to hurt Henry

I may be missing something, but why did Gold even need the shawl/memory thing? When he was cursed Gold still knew he was Rumple, why would he revert to his curse self, when his cursed self still remembered?
