Ukraine separatists advance in Donbas region while Russians face stiff opposition elsewhere

Pro-Russian separatists have recently been spotted advancing in Ukraine's Donbas region. They were observed working alongside Russian regulars on the weekend in the village of Mykolaivka, in the Donetsk area, and in the town of Stanytsia Luhanska, in the Luhansk area. Men were seen placing Russian flags on buildings. Despite the images, Russian forces have been facing stiff opposition as they get closer to Kharkhiv and the capital Kyiv.

No one in history ever went to a war without any consequences. Ukraine started this with their Euromaidan and war in eastern Ukraine since 2014.

I am bit neutral in this situation especially because of the western media racism and zelenskys pro israel stance. However looking at how prepared russian supporters are my heart weep for those innocent civilians armed in hope that they can defeat the russians

Although Ukraine doesn't have the best army in the world, they are certainly not like the Afghan government. The Russians will definitely have a hard time taking their capital.

They are resistance, recognising the original government that was helped in been overthrown by NATO in February 2014, in the Maiden revolution. They have declared independence, because they lost hope of ever getting their country back. This conflict isn't about Ukraine's independence, if it were, they wouldn't have applied for EU Membership.

I hope that at last Russia will bring peace to the Donbas area & the villagers can leave the bomb shelters they have been living in, to try to stay alive under the Ukrainian attacks since 2014, & return to farming.
