In order for our reading process to exponentiate we have to have first read enough to establish the lattice work of mental models and context needed to increase retention rate during the reading process-- It being implicitly understood that this increased retention rate would both inspire and facilitate further reading still. So, I'm not clear how Cowen was able to ride the exponential curve from his childhood to the present the whole way? You would have to first read enough to establish the context needed to increase your retention rate before riding the Curve ... before reaching the so-called knee of the Curve.

Step 1: get off nuclear
Step 2: increase dependence on Russian gas
Step 3: turn to coal as the tyrant turns off the tap
Step 4: remain defiant and continue to get off nuclear

Absolute insanity. No other word for it.
