In this video, Kevin and I are taking a look at the dumbest coin posts that we can were able to find on Etsy. These posts include ridiculous prices, fraud, and deception. Our mission is to get to the bottom of what is really for sale in these listing, and to try to figure out who, if anyone, is actually buying.

The 1979 coin is a Susan B. Anthony dollar coin. Not a Sacagawea.

About that Sacagawea, my grandpa has like, 40 uncirculated 2000 Sacagawea dollars in a bag, so according to that post he's made about, 1.2 million dollars. Lol.

I've seen these listings for some time now. I've seen a "rare" beat to hell 1964 Jefferson nickel for four or five figures. I don't understand why Etsy doesn't police this garbage.

You know what grinds my gears? When people make comment saying "hello i have rare coin 1972 1979 want to sell you buy", and stuff like that. Some of them literally drop their phone number in there too. They're so obviously fake.

ETSY has no ethics. If they did they would have a report this post option. Normally it's Buyer Beware but ETSY is Buyer be scammed.

I think this is criminal. I have contacted Etsy and they don't care. Everyone should report them to the FTC, the Secret Service, and every consumer affairs division in the nation until Etsy acts responsible.

These are great. There was some idiot on eBay trying to sell $31 face in clad half dollars and $1 face in silver halves for $350. I offered him $33 as a joke. He sent me back a message that he was insulted by the offer. I told him if he wants I can sell them $500 worth of clad have for just under three grand and he can then sell them on eBay.

Maybe the Susan B. Anthony seller thought the 11-sided inner edge was some kind of offset or broadstrike?
