Now I've got a mental picture of all the other professors clambering around Dumbledore wanting to help guard the stone. And Dumbledore is sitting back like "oh, of course you can help! Yes, what a great obstacle! What a big help you've been!"

I always interpreted Molly Weasly asking about the train as like when a parent asks "What number is the bus you need to take home?" It is just something she says every year to help the younger kids remember for when it is their time to go on the train. She is shown to worry about her kids a lot.

Ugh this makes the conversation with Dumbledore in the hospital so heartbreaking. When he says to Harry, “To the well-organized mind, death is just the next adventure, ” he’s saying that knowing full well Harry will have to willingly go to his death in just a few years.

Not to mention that Hagrid gave Harry a FLUTE for Christmas. The one thing that can be used to get past fluffy without actually telling them that's what it can be used for.

I think Devil's Snare was probably intended for Neville, Dumbledore anticipating he might have joined the trio. But instead, Neville totally amazed Albus by standing up to his friends, therefore he received those decisive extra points to win the House cup for Gryffindor. Also your theory totally explains why Dumbledore has always been soooo biased with the House cup points - to teach Harry that sooner or later, every good action is rewarded.

I’d have loved to hear Dumbledore asking the other teachers to provide obstacles for the Stone’s protection. “I need you each to provide something to help me protect the Stone, but they must be able to be overcome by only the brightest of first years.”

I think the thing with Molly saying "whats the platform number?" Is a thing parents do with their kids when they want to make sure they remembered an important detail in whatever they're doing at the time, my parents did it to me a lot

its kinda funny was that the obstacles to protect the mirror were "tailored to the golden trio's skill sets" because it shows Dumbledore being like "Harry...is good at flying....Hermione is...she's smart we'll put some logic in there, yes and is Ron good at..nothing

The thought of Dumbledore knowing that Voldemort couldn’t get the stone and putting it in Quirrels office for the sole purpose of making fun of him would be hilarious.

This entire thing just reminds me of what Snape says to Dumbledore: "You've raised him like a pig for slaughter." Dumbledore knew, in the end, Harry would have to confront Voldemort and so Dumbledore set it up for Harry to have the best preparedness he could provide without also destroying Harry's childhood. Harry still manages to grow and naturally develop good memories at Hogwarts and develops close friendships and didn't need to know he was just existing to end Voldemort in the end.
