I've been making games for almost 2 years now, and honestly I think 4 is the most important thing if you want to make a successful game. Additionally, if you want to avoid that mistake I recommend planning everything out before starting to make the game, because if you are motivated to start a new game but you have no idea about what you're gonna add to the game you'll never finish the game and quickly lose motivation due to the lack of ideas

I remember when I first was becoming a Roblox dev and didn't know you can edit your games after publishing so I used to make a brand new game and try to copy the original as much as possible but add new things. Luckily, I only did this with my first game!

These are great ideas. I’m thinking of making a parkour game, but I am constantly looking for models, tutorials on YouTube, and automatic scripts. I think I should make games that are like tutorials for me. For example: “test 1: run script” or maybe “test 2: health bar script” or something that will help me out. Then, I can start by making small games. This really helps me as a new Roblox developer that has NO idea what he’s doing 👍🏻

I tried to make a horror game, but my two player obby games are my most popular games, so I tried to make something more simpler like watterthods mod (which is a gmod but more goofy) and I also added the feature to contact me and my friends to add in a custom map

i just deleted my map because it was starting to look like a horror game, i hate horror games. and even if i wanted to make a horror game, i would rather make it somewhat like doors.
my game idea is named 'Willow's Experiments' in which a maniac starts a group of people to experiment on gifted children to brainwash them, use them for their own benefits, the player is one of the ten. the player will then try to escape and stuff.
i intended it to be simple and stuff but the tutorials i saw were realistic and all of that
but i am not prepared for that kind of stuff, at least not yet.. i wanted to make like those ending badges you see from NEED MORE COLD and similar games, i will most likely just stick to making obbies and other simple games for now.
