My ex-husband was the sweetest guy while dating and the first year of marriage. But as soon as we had kids and the attention was no longer 100% on him, that's when the true colors came out and the mental games started. I was dumb enough to deal with it for years because according to him I'd never be able to deal with life on my own and he threatened to get custody of the kids because he made more money than me. The more mental games he played the more I just didn't care anymore. Eventually he made a big announcement that we were getting a divorce and I was relieved. That first night after he moved out, me and my kids could finally breathe.

It was intentional and she revealed this? The mind games, the gaslighting, the extreme verbal abuse etc.
That's why it's so confusing and then she says it was all to make me hate her...

But at the same time admitted to leading me on and confessing her love so many many times...
After all this chaos she wanted to stay friends after revealing "none of it was real" 😞
And begged me to forgive her for everything and not to hate her...

Now she deactivated everything due to feeling bad and I feel guilty again 😕

just go no contact asap. Very simple. never overthink it. Most, like 99.9 percent of people over the age of 9 understand how to not abuse or be rude to someone. So when they do abuse or are rude, its a good indicator that they are narcissistic personality type and anytime you explain it to them and they say "oh ok im sorry I didnt know" or something like that, they are jsut waiting to do it again later. so better to go no contact. thank me later.

Doesn't have to be on purpose. I think being so distant, and not caring about good or bad outcomes, as long as you benefit is almost worse.

I understand that it is possible to learn narcissistic traits from you Primary care givers, you parents. In the case you're presenting, I believe you should confront that person on that issue and ask them them if they can stop doing it. A full blown narcissist will not stop and continue with the abuse. That's when you know they are abusive and toxic and that's it's time to move on.
