I Caught A Carp Next To The Lock! - Canal Fishing

Throughout the summer, Henry and I made multiple trips overseas to enjoy the incredible carp fishing available. A typical tradition of ours was to start or end a trip with a short canal session. With so many incredible stretches to choose from, we were almost always spoiled for choice. However, we never had much time on our hands, so we had to choose wisely to give ourselves the best chance of catching one of these elusive canal carp.

Fished there off and on for 3 years in the late 90's and there is some ridiculous carp in there

We should do a session on a stretch of the river lea near me. I've had a few mega ones from my spots with plenty more unknowns to be had.

Great videos as usual Jacob! Would be nice to see you fish some more English rivers and canals, maybe more down towards southern areas (Kent, Sussex and Cornwall ect…)Found them much more enjoyable to watch knowing how hard but rewarding it is to catch from our rivers.

Most my fishing is on the Romney marsh drains, they have some great carp in them .often ignored by the muddy puddle fisherman.

I fish a lot at the spot of the first 15 minutes, hopefully it won't be too busy now

the first canal you guys visited is not the kempish kanaal its a different canal

30lb carp under the Westway Paddington/Royal Oak, floating crust 1/4 of a slice, a 20Ib sucked it I pulled it back because well yeh a mirror.
