Tandoori Chicken Recipe
1st Marination:
Chicken: 700 gm 🍗
GG paste: 1.5 tbsp 🧄
Salt: to taste 🧂
Kashmiri Mirch: 2 tsp 🌶️
Lime juice: 1/2 nos. lime 🍋
2nd Marination:
Hung Curd: 1/3 cup 🧑🍳
Kashmiri Mirch: 1 tbsp 🌶️
GG paste: 1 tbsp 🧄
Haldi (Turmeric): 1/4 tsp ✨
Coriander Powder: 1 tsp 🌿
Cumin Powder: 1 tsp 🌾
Chaat Masala: 1 tsp 🍽️
Garam Masala: 1 tsp 🌟
Aamchur Powder: 1/2 tsp 🍋
Black Salt: 1 tsp 🖤
Mustard Oil: 2 tbsp 🛢️
Cardamom Powder: 1/4 tsp 🌱
Cinnamon Powder: 1/4 tsp
Salt: to taste 🧂
Black pepper: 1/2 tsp 🌶️
1 Piece of Charcoal to smoke 🔥
TIPS:
1. The first marination is very important as it removes the moisture from the chicken. So leave it for at least an hour. ⏳
2. Hung Curd is very important because we don't want the marination to be wet. 🧑🍳
3. After the 2nd Marination when you are preheating your oven, you can smoke the chicken with a piece of Charcoal and oil. (5-10 mins of smoke is more than enough) 🔥
4. After 10 mins of baking, take out the chicken and brush it generously with butter 🧈. Then place it back in for another 10-15 mins. ⏱️
5. Once you get some charred bits on top, take it out. If you still feel that it isn't charred enough after 25 mins, you can keep it in for another 5-8 mins. 🔥
6. After taking it out, let it rest for at least 5 mins. ⏳
