Beautiful bird. No wonder it was chosen as the national symbol. Far more pleasing than the california condor 😂

Where I live in Ohio on the sioto river I’ve seen up to 7 of them feasting on a previously raccoon feast of catfish piled up after a flood. It was near thanks giving too

Absolutely beautiful birds! Unfortunately, I can't remember ever seeing one in the wild, but I do remember a few years ago, we found a golden eagle in our front lawn, where it was enjoying a squirrel as a meal. My girlfriend and her mother were pretty mortified by the sight, but her brother, her father, and I were absolutely in awe of how beautiful (and brutal) it was to see something like this! I suppose it was a little gruesome, but man oh man... Sure, we felt bad for the poor squirrel, but as unfortunate as it is, it must do what it must do to survive. It certainly was a sight, on the front lawn, of all places, too!

These birds really are bullies. I love watching them fight ospreys for fish. One time I saw them lock up and spiral towards the ground. It was pretty cool.
