Considerations for Nested Dashboards

Forest Service researchers developed a Fireshed Registry as a geospatial dashboard and decision tool to organize information about wildfire transmission to communities. The original design included cascading dashboards but failed to synchronize many of the charts and tables. Reformatting the dashboard allowed a single selection to populate 25 different maps, tables, and charts. This talk will discuss the pros and cons of the two designs along with some other tips and tricks we learned along the way.
