This is Lawrie from UK Wildlife Aid. Sadly the man who established Wildlife Aid in 1987 Simon Cowell (NO NOT THAT ONE! died in June of cancer after a hard fought battle. He was a wonderful man and used to go out to do the rescues himself all the time. God rest his soul.

I had this exact issue happen to me this past spring. I planted my seedlings in my container plants on my patio and put netting over them to protect from wildlife... And then one morning I come out and see a black snake wrapped around the pot and not moving. I inspect more closely and see its caught in the netting. I looked it up online and it was a black racer, not venomous, so i put on some gloves and long sleeves and went to work. It was pretty calm and only took one swipe at my glove. I got it free. It was the bravest thing I did all year. Lol.

Snakes are so hated and misunderstood. They are shy creatures and hide away from humans as much as they can. Thank you and bless you for saving it 🙏❤. I have saved the lives of a few snakes. No, not like this, but by stopping people from beating and killing them. Just now i saved an abandoned dog that had been chained behind the garage bins. I have been feeding it since morning. Now he's finally been rescued ❤❤❤. I'm dancing on cloud 9 😍🥰. It was not easy getting him out of that situation. A vehicle had hit him and he couldn't stand. God is great 🙏

Glad that person was there. I have a severe reptile phobia but I would also have been desperate to help the snake. So glad there are people out there who can handle these poor animals.
