That interior is actually nice in person. Had a few different interiors in my time and I find black is too somber a white or cream gets so dirty. The best is a cozy but airy color somewhere in the middle that makes you feel comfortable and at home on cold morning commutes to work.

Why are you not warning people that Diesel cars are going to be banned in many major cities in the very near future?

Real world mpg: 520d (4cyl) 50-55mpg. - 530d (6cyl) 32mpg. Hardly a slight loss, it's a very noticeable loss and can equate to £1000's of pounds difference a year in running costs. I'd rather have a fab family holiday with the difference! BMW's are fab cars and will likely remain so for a very long time indeed if they keep up the high build standard, so no need for the constant use of superlatives, we're already sold on them (and it is a little OTT). Otherwise a good review, thank you.
