'Aphasia Rehabilitation & Recovery from Novel Therapy', Tom Broussard

This talk was given as part of the C-STAR lecture series at the University of South Caroline, on April 6th, 2017.

Dr. Thomas Broussard Jr. is a neuroeducator, author and public speaker. He formerly was the Associate Dean of Admissions & Career Services at The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, from 2007 until his stroke in 2011. He could not read, write or speak well due to his stroke. It took years to get better and then he wrote Stroke Diary, A Primer for Aphasia Therapy. He has written a second volume, Stroke Diary, The Secret of Aphasia Therapy, published in September 2016. Dr. Broussard discusses the process of how he lost his language, how he got it back and what plasticity means to all of this.
