In high-school my biology teacher had a viper and he would feed it live mice and have us watch how it catches and eats them. One time as he was placing the mouse in the tank, the viper struck at it while it was still in his hand and splattered mouse blood all over the side of its tank. It freaked out a few kids so he stopped feeding it in front of us...it was wild

There’s a product called Harrison’s high potency mash, this powder can help with gut loading instead of buying carrots and vanilla waffles. I am a vet assistant so I know what gut loading is!

Can you do a video on that target training thing? I didn't understand it all and it seems really interesting

I personally also dislike crickets for how noisy they are so I'm using desert locust instead, which are available in different sizes and not too costly. I have a frilled dragon, a bearded dragon, a blue tongue skink, two leopard geckos and a ball python.

Wow you're target training is going even better than mine! I think I need to switch targets to something like a ball on a stick, been using a piece of red paper. He attacked a paper towel piece the other day as I was cleaning his glass lol. Also, I hate crickets and have found Dubia to be so much easier and have even bred them, no noise etc. Crickets die in my care lol

As someone who gets very sensitive about animals online to the point where I usually get upset seeing people feed their reptiles (maybe because some people are just so irresponsible) its great to see someone be as responsible as you are with as many reptiles as you own. As a fan of entomology and general zoology to a reptile owner, I congratulate you for being one of the best pet owners online.

Wow. I really love the food response training you do. I've never even considered the idea of that but it is brilliant 😮

Never thought about training a snake but i can see whats going on there, clever ! 😁 grew up with crazy pets, from a family of royal pythons, to a boa constrictor, burnese python, chameleon, all sorts of "dragons" be that water and bearded, iguanas, various fish and thats not even starting on mammals lol ! Used to breed the meal worms as a kid for my dragon, clever little food hack lol
