The Reptile Zoo provides the community with a unique educational entertainment facility which houses over 100 exotic species of reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids from around the world. These animals each have their own story, some are rescues, many were born at The Reptile Zoo, and others are part of private collections. She said it was an upgrade because it's harder to take care of them. She didn't actually mean that spiky beardies are downgraded versions of silkies.

You would think that you would pick a Bearded dragon….. for it’s beard. Why would you want a beardless dragon when those things just crawl around in your backyard anyway, salamanders😂

i’m a small mom n pops business who also breeds bearded dragons, but for the sake of health and time, I suggest steering away from breeding silkies. They’re created by using a recessive gene called leatherback gene. which reduces the scales and spikes drastically. And having both parents with those recessive leatherback genes, creates a “Super” version of that gene, which results in silkback dragons like this here. Nothing very ‘Super’ about it since its natural structure and evolution has been weakened. Overall, its unethical. But if you do plan on getting your hands on a silkie, like what she said, high maintenance and just lots of care.
