Step 0: make sure OBS running as Administrator!! (or at least with higher priority setting, it's in advanced settings) this alone usually fixes like 80% of issues.

Now I recently had a different issue - a viewer reported, my stream was often buffering BUT my OBS stats dock showed NO dropped frames (network), NO missed frames due to rendering/encoding lag and NO FPS drops. CPU/memory usage also was only minimal.
After the stream I checked the VOD of my stream on Twitch (he was also watching on Twitch) - no buffering/skipping frames, etc. either.
So my conclusion was: The problem was on the viewer's side - correct?

After much research I found you have to permanently delete ad blocking for the Youtube channel. Youtube was causing the problem, Made a big difference. Evidence of what I am saying is now well known with a search of Youtube and buffering.

Mine says it’s an upload speed of 199.95….. should I still use 1080 for YouTube?

Does online streaming services help in lowering Bandwidth use for uploads & and streaming with multiple guests ? instead of vod ninja & OBS? what can someone with a slow internet do ?

Opera GX is a good browser that you can use while streaming because it has built-in hardware limiters. I first started streaming off a Surface Pro 4 and it would not even run 720p 30fps consistently until I started using Opera and setting those limiters. It might not be great as a main browser, but for streaming (and gaming), it can be a lifesaver. Also, it's default is Dark Mode so...

For those confused regarding the chart numbers, Mike says kilobits but shows kilobytes. The chart should read Kbps (kilo-bits), instead of KBps (kilo-bytes). It could confuse people looking at numbers from a speed test or such. Just a minor but important correction.
