As someone with 2 large dogs, I can promise you 7-900 a month is DEFINITELY not affordable.

I always just put aside a dog friendly (any food we're having that's safe for dogs) portion of what I make my family for dinner for my dog (he's a 3 year old golden). Last night it was pork (raw), half a sweet potato (baked, with skin, before all the butter and brown sugar was added) and a scoop of broccoli (steamed plain, no spices added). He still gets his kibble throughout the day, but he knows dinner is going to be yum! Also, you can buy beef bones that some people use for soup stock for pretty cheap. It gives my dog something to chew on to get the marrow out. Or, if you'd rather not give your dog a raw bone to chew, you can boil out the marrow, remove the bones and throw them out, once the beef stock with marrow has cooled off, mix it in a blender to incorporate the marrow throughout the stock, add the stock to an ice cube tray and freeze. Makes a delicious, healthy treat for the hot summer. Or just add the marrow stock to kibble for added tastey health benefits! ❤

Preaching the truth! Even a little bit added in to each meal is better than none at all! And it doesn’t have to be WFR brand either, there are so many brands that are more affordable. If you are wanting to do it - look into it, do the research!

I appreciate you so much!!
Great idea never thought of it in this way.
My Brittany is 55# (in training) & 12mo old.
He is healthy activity level so so.
I wanted so badly to try however as a stay at home mom my family can’t afford $325 every 3 wks
I also wish these companies didn’t expect you to sign up for a subscription

Making my 50kg 10 year old lab/retrievers raw food for £5 a day, 2 months ago he was struggling to stand and walk from lack of muscle mass, inflammation, joint health and the list goes on. 2 months later he's walking and standing up from a down stay like a 3 year old dog, his attention and obedience has got so much better too

Get a grinder and buy bulk meats. Grund it. Very inexpensive. We save about 60% per month and she's thriving

Been feeding my husky/shepherd raw since he was 3 months old. He couldn't digest kibble after trying for a month so we had no choice. He is now 6 going on 7 years and he's had no health issues and teeth are still clean. He's also super lean and fit since he runs 6 miles daily. Thank you for bringing more awareness to this!

I have eight GSD ranging from 65-120lbs. I could never afford this in todays world without raising meat rabbits 🐰

My dog won’t eat raw meat. I substitute part of his kibble with vegetables, fruit and protein that I eat, minus the seasoning. We only eat meat a couple of times a week because I am retired and he refuses to get a paying job,

Behaviour in dogs is night and day when feeding real food.

I feed my boy 70 percent lean red meat, 17 percent Raw chicken bones in the forms of necks and feet, I’ll switch to wings a few times, then I have 7 percent beef liver and 7 percent kangaroo kidneys.

Don’t let big food let the vet then tell you kibble is what they need to be on. It’s an eye roll.

I’ve been feeding Raw to my dogs and cats for over 20 years now. It can be done on a budget and still be balanced and healthy. Premade is the absolute most expensive way to go. It’s a good way to start however, while you research and learn how to to DIY.

I by 80 1010 blends and then I add things to them such as sardines, green tripe, low glycemic, veggies, eggs, etc. Other times I do fold DIY with raw meaty, bones, muscle meat, and organ meat. It all comes out between $2.50 and three dollars per pound. I feed a total of 2 pounds a day so it’s about 5 to 6 dollars per day with what I do. And there’s times I can get it much cheaper than that depending on what I get and how I do it. It does not have to break the bank.

Please mention the fact that even with raw diets, you still need to have grain in a dogs diet. They are not wolves, and there have been studies linking grain free diets to heart probelms later in life

It’s definitely not in my budget to feed my cattle dog mix all raw. But I also can’t feel good about just kibble. I add veggies she likes and a cooked protein (canned tuna/sardines or cooked ground beef) to her kibble every meal and often add a bit of rice. Can I just add the ground beef in raw? Aren’t there concerns it could make her sick like it could if I ate it? I wanna do what’s best for her. Also, how do I know how much to feed my 50 pound dog?

Or you can find a raw feeding co-op in your area and save a bunch of money. Or do DYI.

My vet warned me about salmonella if store bought meat so I’ve yet to convert my dog to raw. But I see so many wonderful videos like this and keep wondering

I feed raw, I have a English mixed French bulldog. I get my meat at wildfork and it costs me about $1.50 to $2.50 a day. I am cheaper than before with her regular food. And she is not a small dog, she gets between 360 Gramms and 400gramms a day

For me, I would never feed anything else but raw and because my senior dog has no teeth left, she can't eat kibble anyways. She also will only eat chicken or turkey which are the cheaper meats so I end up with spending about $50.00/month on raw which I know is way less than I would if I could feed kibble.
