The thing everyone misses, or just doesn't want to talk about, is that the Air and MacBook Pro are designed for very different tasks and users. If you need heavy lifting, the MacBook Pro is the only choice. That's what it's designed for. If you don't need that much power for big tasks, the Air is perfect. It will easily do everything but the big photo/video/music studio/etc jobs.

For example, my wife is the perfect Air user: she browses the web, watches YouTube & Apple TV, and she does her everyday tasks, which aren't demanding. I'm a MacBook Pro user and do everything she does, but also run Logic Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, and the 3 Affinity apps. I need the power of the MacBook Pro.

So I always laugh when reviewers are like, "I can't render my hour long 8K video on this MacBook Air while I'm also gaming, so it's crap!" Get the right machine for the right job in the first place.

That said, I'd love to get a 15" MacBook Air for use as an everyday computer that is light/portable.

I spec’d mine with 16gb and 1TB. I still prefer it regardless of the price for how thin and light it is. I love it.

I’ve not even come close to maxing out or mildly straining the original M1…. It’s nice to think for most people even an M1 will last 5 - 8 years if not longer

I’ve had my MacBook Air 15’’ for a week and your final analysis is spot on.

Apples biggest problem is that they knocked it out the park with the first M1 Air. It’s so good it’s hard to justify upgrading (other than screen size, which yeah I want, but I’m still satisfied with my original M1 Air)

I’m sorry but the 14” M1 Pro refurbished for $1385 blows away the 15” Air. The display alone is amazing on the pro, combined w speed, power, ram, speakers and built like a tank. All for less money. I played with the new 15” Air and I am thrilled I got the 14” M1 Pro instead!

15 years ago I learned the workflow of maximizing the window size of all your open applications and command+tabbing to go back and forth between them - and it’s been bliss. It’s especially nice on my 13” M2 Air. I know this workflow isn’t realistic for everyone but I see so many people needlessly keeping multiple apps side by side for no good reason, just crowding their workspace

Looks cool but I’m a small laptop kinda guy. Like the 13inch MacBook Air and 14inch MacBook Pro.

still the m1 air was the best value macbook ever made. Great fast SSD's at base :)

I got this Machine today. I was on the fence between the M2 Pro 13in model and this one. After playing around with it for a couple of hours, I am glad I got this one. The overall screen size grew on me really quick. And it made me glad I did not get the 13in Pro.

Definitely is worth it. I traded in my 13” M2 for the 15” and I love it! It’s definitely worth the price difference. And I feel like I’m not sacrificing any portability

Watching this on my Macbook Air 15" and I must say after having the 2015 Macbook Air this is obviously a huge upgrade. The 15 inch paired with the new MacOS Sonoma beta feels like a dream. Cant say whether I would upgrade from a more recent M1 or M2 Mac, but the second I saw they released a 15 inch macbook, I knew it was time to upgrade!

In previous videos they were screaming how much they want this laptop because it’s thin and light compared to heavy 16 inch and Apple gave them exactly what they want, but they are saying no we still prefer 16 inch MacBook Pro.

Sure wish my 13" 8G M1 Air would start being inadequate in some way so I can get a new MacBook 14, 15 or 16!

I'm super happy with my 15" MBA (16/512) 😍My first MacBook ever! And by far the best computer I have ever owned☺
For me the Pro was never an option due to the absurd weight and thickness - I love a portable laptop! And I don't need the Pro features.

Upgraded from my late 2020 Macbook Pro 13" M1 16GB 2TB, and not looking back! Love It!!

MAX: I think you would agree that the MacBook Air laptops are designed for business people more than anything. For people who are on the move, traveling, etc who do nothing but office work. Word processing, data entry, emailing and the occasional web browsing. These M2s are beautiful and powerful, but not having a fan limits them in terms of power and performance. Thanks for the video sir.

The 16” is really heavy but otherwise I love it, except the keyboard where I prefer the feel of the 13/15 Air models. Thinking of switching to the 15 but not sure. I need something more portable so may just get the base M2 Air and keep the Pro for heavier tasks as my main Mac. At the same time, the 15 is just a little bit more expensive than the 13, so it feels like better value. But I don’t need two large laptops? Very hard decisions here.

Hey guys, great video! Now let’s see comparison between the Mac Studio, Mac Pro, and old Intel Mac Pro, and let’s also see a video editing comparison between the Mac Studio with M2 Max, 60 core M2 ultra, and 76 core M2 ultra. As well as a video with thermal pads on the 15 inch MacBook Air.

I had my MacBook Air 15 inch for about 4 days now with the 24GB RAM and I gotta say WOW! The Max RAM is so worth than the SSD upgrade, it’s super fast loading times and definitely worth the upgrade from my MacBook Air 2020 Intel version and will definitely have it for a long time!
