As we enter into a new depression, set off by the pandemic, many are drawing parallels with the Great Depression of the 1930s. This is an important period for Socialists to understand -- as the saying goes, those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it. In Part 1 we discuss how the initial stock market crash set off the depression, and how the capitalists made it worse.

Fightback is a revolutionary organization fighting for the socialist transformation of society. We are the Canadian section of the International Marxist Tendency. We actively seek to educate workers and youth in the genuine ideas of Marxism, in order to fight back against capitalist attacks and austerity.
