Why You Shouldn't Wear Summer Fragrances in the Winter and Vice Versa

I kind of thought that I have enough fragrances, but then winter came and the temperatures dropped in the freezing side and I found myself midst the perfume shelves searching for something for the cold weather.

I thought I don't like leather notes, but turns out I don't like leather notes in the warmer weather. In the winter it's a different story and sweet and smoky do have a different vibe when it's freezing outside.

Sure, some scents are good all year around, but I do find myself wearing different things in different weather, so it makes sense to have a selection in weather appropriate fragrances too.

I think summer fragrances are perfectly good in the winter. They just work all year round.
But never wear too sweet fragrances in the heat. Its cloying.

I only use parfume on my clothes and hair so… I love my skin too much. I do use specific scents for specific situations and feelings. Like when going to bed I always use a powdery scent, when going out inside I wear a heavy one like poison, going out outside I wear a more gourmand sweet scent. Don’t care about the weather, I care about how I feel and if it compliments my feelings cause scents make you feel a certain way

I find my winter fragrances unpleasant in the summer, and my summer fragrances underwhelming in the winter. There are a few exceptions of course, but on the whole I think seasonality has a real effect in how scents are perceived (as long as you are living somewhere where there are distinct seasonal changes.)

Isn't wearing heavy and strong fragrances always pushed as a clubbing fragrance? You go to any clubs like Berghain or Tresor and its like 30 celsius inside. I get more compliments from my winter weather fragrances in summer than I would in the cold. Going to wear Angels share at Ultra this month

What about middle eastern fragrances? It’s almost ALWAYS warm in the Middle East and a vast majority of the fragrances that come out of the Middle East are warm, spicy and sweet.

In summer I like to wear gaulthier classique eau de toilette, it's sweet and fresh and I like it in combination with molecule no 1, . . and in winter I like versace cristal noir, la belle (also in summer) glamour of love from miccalef, scandal le parfum intense and rouge malachit. I love that.
