I bet the materials used to make your clothes is much more breathable than half of the "summer" clothing that are marketed to "keep you cool" IE: shorts, tanks, etc

Long flowy skirts are a blessing when it is hot. Breathable materials are much cooler. I've come to covering my head with a scarf because of the heat. A hijab does center the focus on a woman's face, and I get that. Not into flashing my elderly body parts OR getting them sunburned. Not muslim, however, I like practicality. The first time I saw my friend in her home in a tank and shorts, I almost did'nt recognize her. (she was home ill) Never minded fielding visits from single men, deliveries, etc. She always shared food with me and neither of us had a lot to share. Sharing food when neither have plenty is love.

Some non Muslims are getting seriously heated up here 😅 .. spread peace guys.. we live in the same world even if we don't follow the same religion. Let's make it a better place to live in. 😊

As long as women are hijabi by choice and not force or coercion, then rock on.

I don't think people understand that wearing long flowy breathable clothes that covers your entire body keeps you cooler than being naked. But yeah it's also like 110° in a lot of the world during summer, you gonna sweat

I feel like telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is exactly what feminists are supposed to be AGAINST. If a women wants to dress modestly why is that a problem? Let her wear what makes her comfortable.

I’m not Muslim but I am Christian and dress modestly. I appreciate when we can respect each other and our choices.

I work outside in the summer and always wear long sleeve fishing shirts to avoid sunburn. Barely even sweat.

Here in Pakistan, we wear dresses made of suti cloth in summer.
I tried to find english word for suti on google and it said cotton but cotton is different material but we sometimes use that in summer too.

I don't understand some of these comments, if a women is walking around showing off her breast & booty, she would get all kinds of compliments & drooled over, but if your a modest women then your criticized & being controlled by men... seriously people 🙄 btw your family is beautiful

In summer I prefer long flowy dresses, skirts and jumpsuits out of linen, very thin cotton, silk or sometimes viscose. I’m really pale, have a sun allergy and just generally not good with heat so I like the cover and that it’s still very airy and breathable.😊
So I can imagine a lot of your outfits must be very comfortable.

Material of the outfit helps too right? When I've worn silk or satin blouses, I've felt pretty cool

Shorts and tank tops are actually much worse for you in summer than being completely covered up in cotton based clothing. When the sun hits just skin it makes you hotter and afterwards with the sunburn it will be much more uncomfortable.

When you keep your skin protected from the sun, you feel even cooler. Linen fabric is wonderful for that.
Abby Cox did a video comparing older, natural fiber clothing to modern day ones, and the long cotton dresses were a lot cooler than the t-shirt and jeans they wore afterwards, which had polyester.

There are many companies that make clothing designed for us that dress modestly and cover our hair and faces! Many companies make modest clothing that is really breathable. Modanisa is a good one. I got two dresses from them and they’re so breathable, it’s amazing.

She is wearing what she wants so respect her choice! She is doing it as an obligation from Allah(god) and Allah has prepared a reward for her for doing this, its what she believes

Here in Australia, we're advised to wear not only a hat but a long sleeve loose shirt due to our strong uv rays ❤

I live in Texas where it gets super hot during the summers. It is so neat seeing the Muslim women here get so creative with making their clothes stay cool while keeping the modesty! ❤️
I'm a Christian but have so much respect for the Muslim women and how they keep modesty at such an important priority in their life!

She's getting less dangerous UvA and UVB exposure. And her skin won't wrinkle as fast. plus these dresses can be very cooling
