I love my DD 4x4! I can create a 6 ft. A-frame with this tarp. I can also create what I call the cave by bringing a tarp pole to the front while using a shorter pole to prop up the rear section. If I go with a diamond configuration I have enough room to create a hammock palace with room to spare! As for heavy downpours-this thing is perfect for keeping the weather at bay!

Now I'm wondering if you could sew in a stove jack about 1.5m centered up the back and then pack in a small titanium wood stove for an ultralight winter hot tent. Oh the possibilities haha.

Instead of tying the front flaps back you csn pull them forward with cord and stake em off and it would make a tunnel to help stop wind even more

Not sure what you think. But I think that is MASSIVE. 😏 I just bought one of those and I really appreciate your giving me a head start on some ways to utilize it. I bought it after watching a number of 3x3 pitches which produced a floored, somewhat narrow tent. I’m figuring maybe the 4x4 will be a little less narrow. As I’ll be the only one utilizing it I guess I better look around for a dog. Lol Loved the “stalk” video. I think ya need to make it 3 sided pyramid shaped and use the 4th side as a door you can close.

If you pitched it the other way, you could use the middle loops to guy out the roof for more space
