NASA's Hubble Space Telescope spots farthest star ever seen.

The light of the farthest individual star ever seen has been detected by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope.
According to the agency, the star existed within the first billion years after the Big Bang, when the universe was created. The previous single-star record holder was discovered by the telescope in 2018. That star existed when the universe was about 4 billion years old, during the "redshift." The term "redshift" refers to light from distant objects that is stretched to longer.
This star is so far away that its light has taken 12.9 billion years to reach Earth, and it appears to be at redshift 6.2 or 7 percent of the universe's current age. The discovery was made using data from Hubble's RELICS (Reionization Lensing Cluster Survey) program. Welch and his colleagues studied the galaxy in detail, and determined that one feature of the galaxy is an extremely magnified star called Earendel, which means "morning star".

If this is true then if humanity discovers how to travel across solar systems we could hypothetically see the big bang happen if we’re alive

4.3 billion years universe sge but this star reach earth after 12.9 billion light years. How is it possible he reach earth if universe 4.3 billion age only

This sounds big but honestly who cares? How does this feed the hungry or benefit man in any way what so ever??? Spent $180 Billion to see a star that's no longer even there.🙄

All these comments about there being so few comments. Do you want quantity or quality? I'd rather read one interesting, well-thought comment than a page full of idiotic ones.
