The dinner event was co-hosted by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and US-China Business Council on the sidelines of the 2023 APEC Leaders Meeting, and was undertaken in cooperation with the Asia Society, Council on Foreign Relations, US Chamber of Commerce, and China General Chamber of Commerce - USA.

President Xi has delivered a heartwarming speech which focuses on PEOPLE instead of politics or economics ! No other world leaders have ever stressed the importance of PEOPLE! This is the basis the PRC is founded on! This is the ultimate responsibility of all world leaders: to better the lives of their people ! China is doing just that, successfully! It's never meddled in other countries. Raimondo says nice words. However all the unabated sanctions against China by the U.S. do not attest to this. Words must be backed by sincere actions. Otherwise, it's a waste of time.
