US-China Relations: President Xi Jinping and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken meet in Beijing

The United States and China have agreed to "stabilise" relations after a meeting between the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and the Chinese President, Xi Jinping.

This meeting is being seen as progress but a US request to resume military communications was turned down.

Sky's Asia correspondent, Helen-Ann Smith, reports.

I would love to meet Xi i have never seen a mad 😡 or sad 😢 look on his face.
It looks like Xi jinping hardly ever looks eye to eye 👀 to camera's.
Hopefully Xi jinping and the US start talking more and have a positive path to the future.

Had Blinken "misbehaved" to bring out "unnecessary issues", at best he can only meet & speak to senior councilor Wang Yi, certainly no chance to have a face-to-face discussion with the top Chinese leader Xi, and would have to leave China earlier! 😊
