PS4 SAFE MODE NOT WORKING || EASY FIX (September 2024)

Letting the ps4 cool for 30 minutes with a desk fan blowing into the hard drive fan did just the trick!! Thank you so much!

Countless other videos kept telling me to do it with it turned on. The very first time i did it when it was turned off, it worked. Ive had this trophy syncing error on my ps4 pro for ages. Keeps logging me out of ps4. Heres hoping rebuilding fixes it now. I'll update if it does.

If you try updating it in safe mode and it keeps getting stuck, that means it’s your hard drive. Most of the time a brand new 1tb hard drive is around $40 so in my opinion it’s worth it if you’re not looking to get a ps5 soon

mine goes into safe mode but every time i press any of the options in safe mode, it doesn’t do anything and it just goes back to “connect the dualshock using usb cable…”

I bought a new cable still didn't, t work
And the cable worked with my other devices but it did not work with my ps4

OMG thank you, saved me a panic attack! I thought my ps4 has blew up again, cause the power went out. I switched HDMI cords and it worked fine.

I wish it was just the hard drive. That's actually very easy and relatively cheap to fix. I put a known good hard drive on there with the PS4 software already loaded and mine still flashes blue. It's weird because when I bought it, I did test it and it did work. Then i packed it away for resale. Then upon turning it back on maybe 5-6 months later, I only get a flashing blue light with no second beep when trying to get into safe mode. I've replaced the hard drive on like 3-4 of these, and from my experience, even with a bad hard drive it'll still get video and allow you go get into safe mode. The last one I had with a bad hard drive did get into safe mode, but the unit didn't recognize the hard drive. A new one worked. So I think you're wrong about this. It's not the hard drive.

My ps4 has worked great with a internal 4tb drive for years, Im sure an 8tb drive wouldve worked fine too

My PS4 is not having no signal, but rather just a plain black screen with the monitor saying it’s still on. It still happens when I turn the PS4 into safemode and I have yet to find a solution to it

When this happened to my ps4, i had to factory reset ( not sure if that was necessary ) but what i did to enter safe mode and fix the problem, that being the ps4 not being able to update, i replaced ssd card, turned on ps4 with new ssd, then i turned off ps4, put the old ssd back in, it went to safe mode and was able to update after that. Hopefully this helps someone, i shelved my ps4 for months because of this
