In another vid I suggested it was incomplete. Holding back and avoiding attention can also mean rarely used. It could also be that he like his squad rejects spells. A hidden trait might be ignored. Too many what ifs and perhaps.

That's pretty much why Iba said that him "being weak" is his own fault for not giving it his all even when it's most necessary to. people often make the mistake of saying a bankai is weak instead of the one using it being weak. Ikkaku didn't stand even a slight chance in that fight, he wasn't neck and neck, he was being utterly blown away.

His bankai was strong enough that he began to dominate the fight.

So yeah he isn't beating any arrancar with that bankai but that isn't necessarily because the bankai is weak, its because ikkaku isn't as strong.

Ikkaku is weak. He's a 3rd seat. It's 3 massive blades of pure destructive power that becomes stronger as the fight goes on. In the hands of someone stronger, if Ikkaku were stronger, his Bankai would be WAY more terrifying. By design, I can think of multple Bankai that are worse.

So, yes, people are right that it is weak... but that's not the Bankai's fault. It's a user issue. Which is what the video is saying, but it's not a matter of him holding back.
