A very famous psychiatrist once said that "we will procrastinate the things that we really hate to do. But nobody procrastinates the things they love". After years and years and years of struggling running a small business I went out the next day after hearing that and hired a bookkeeper, never regretted even once.

We started paying to have the lawn done and a house cleaner a couple years ago. Literally life changing.

I don't have a super high income but once I was able to support my wife and kids without her working. One of the first things I did was hire landscaping to maintain our yard. It used to take me 2 to 3 hours every Saturday morning for months every summer. Which was prime time for us to go places with the kids, now for like $80 a week I get to go shopping or out to breakfast with my kids every weekend and the person I'm paying is a friend of mine without kids and he is using that to support the start of his home

This is the true benefit of expat work. I have staff who manage my household. I pay them fairly, and I can focus on doing a better job for the company I work for that generates vast amounts of wealth and employment for the nation where I am living and working. We keep the money moving through the system so multiple people can benefit from the same dollar.

My neighbor had a landscaping company cut the grass and shovel the snow in the winter time.He became unsatisfied and offered me the job and for three years I was able to supplement my pension income, he paid me the same and in cash, made quite a difference.

When will we realize that money is not important. We are here to help one another.

My uncle was an entrepreneur - he best lesson was when you make a dollar- keep 98 cents and spread the 2 cents around - people will go out of their way to cater to you !

Agree. When I was in my 30s Indid my own yard, now in my 50s, I have earned enough that we add the lawn maintenance in the monthly budget. Never have to worry about my yard and gave away all my yard tools.

It takes my landscapers (2-3 man crew) 30 minutes to edge and ride mow my lawn. I pay 50. I love to mow but that’s at least two hours of my time in the southern heat. 50 best spent on them.

We in India were told a million times we are doing something wrong by employing people. Suddenly the tide seems to change

I love cutting my yard😊. Time outside in the sunshine and light exercise. And it looks good!

I love the idea of paying a kid to do stuff like that; they're old enough to work and learn responsibility but not old enough to get a "real" job so it helps them out a lot. My 12 year old brother made hundreds of dollars over this past spring/summer mowing, and plans to continue his business into the fall by raking leaves and winter shoveling/snowblowing driveways. He's saved up and bought some really expensive things he wanted that my parents wouldn't just drop money on for him

It's around $50 to $60 an hour for my house cleaner and she said people look down at her like she's some poor and uneducated person because she cleans for a living.. Would you be embarrassed to clean houses for $50 to $60 an hour??

Exactly why I pay to get my yard cut. The guy needs to make money, tells me about bills always being so high. And after all the OT I work, I get to use that extra bit of time to spend with my family every 2-4 weeks

100%. I pay someone to do my lawn care. And I have someone to clean my house. Creating jobs and spreading wealth

I heard a Rabbi ( Manis Friedman) once said, you need to focus on your own business and make it profitable and not waste time doing other stuff like mechanic work to your vehicle or mowing your own lawn. Pay someone else to do it and with the free time you can double what you pay them because you are using that time to improve your income as well.
