As a retired ornamental lead worker (75), can I thank you for those views of the roof. The leadwork is absolutely superb.

Epic level

1. We can take it down
2. You can be prosecuted
3. It's against regulations - nah, not the law!

Absolutely beautiful. If National Trust are watching, we have visited sites shown on this channel that we otherwise had little idea how beautiful they were, and it has prompted us to visit others, including the immensely beautiful Knole Castle, and Siissinbury Castle gardens.

Waddesdon Manor have now educated their staff and security on drone laws. Any staff who don't abide by this education will be dismissed.

Why do so many people call it disrespectful when a person won't comply with their rules that don't override the law? Surely it's them being disrespectful toward you.

Why don’t you just go to the public path and film it in the first place? What’s the need to go in and ‘tell them’?
These people are just trying to go to work and do their jobs.

Security guy was relatively reasonable and relatively clued up. Just needs to fully understand what public means and what it means with regards drones. There is no public property in the UK, just public places. Everywhere is privately owned. So the guideline about only taking off from a public place relates to not being in a place where the owner might object. So the guideline is there to avoid incidents. However, that doesn't stop stupid people, so the guideline is not that useful. Also, the guideline is more appropriate to drones that actually require a proper landing pad such as >250g drones. It doesn't apply so much to tiny drones such as the DJI Neo which can take off from your hand. Banning the Neo would be akin to banning the throwing of paper airplanes.

The more I watch these audits the more I think its like playing a game of cards. The auditor is usually holding a royal flush and security or other staff are holding a pair of 2's - though they think they hold a winning hand. The purpose of the audit is to go all in and call the thats the trouble with bluffing when you only hold a pair of 2's you got to be really, really good at it and the " bluffers " unfortunately never

Surely entering without paying is wrong. Why not just access via public footpaths and bridleways and not abuse these estates. They deserve your money to gain access.

Sooner people understand that "policies" don't apply to members of the public the better. My favourite is "You can't park here, its company policy everyone knows you can't park here." - But I don't work for your company, so your policy doesn't apply to me.

everyone has been so polite to you lately, these videos have become vlogs. People are becoming more and more educated on drone laws!

The Rothschild family is a wealthy Ashkenazi Jewish noble banking family originally from Frankfurt. The family's documented history starts in 16th century Frankfurt; its name is derived from the family house, Rothschild, built by Isaak Elchanan Bacharach in Frankfurt in 1567.

So in a spirit of health & safety they would bring a drone crashing down to the ground?

She's right to be fair - A drone cannot be flown on National Trust GROUNDS

I'm surprised they don't ban the birds from flying over, you're in more danger from them than from the drone. Birds drop they calling cards everywhere, on people, buildings and food. Some birds are very territorial also especially in mating season.
