Nice work Dave! Love the content you produce. I just found an 1862 IHP from a bank bag last night.

I got a box last week, it had fewer wheats than my average (8, instead of my usual 12 to 20), but it also had my first Indian head... From 1868!!! It's the week of Indian heads I guess haha. Congrats on yours.

Nice. The Indian is a sweet score. I just picked up 3 boxes of pennies all copper that my bank called me and told me someone brought in, and said their grandma collected for years, so if they knew any collectors they may want them. As you know I stick to halves mostly, so it should be an adventure.

We’d get one in change as kids and show them excitedly to our mom. “Ooooo. Save that. It will be valuable one day.” With seven brothers and sisters that’s impossible. Most pennies in my youth would have been wheat cents. I was born in 1954. The corner grocer was too fat to pick up coins under the counter. I found a trove of 3 Morgans but my mom seized them saying I’d stolen them from her. 😂 The front of the counter was stocked with cans of pet food. We could usually find some money for candy by looking closely.
