My fear began when I woke up alone. My terror began when I realised I wasn't.

Fun fact: my dad acted in 28 weeks later (sequel to this film) as one of the soldiers. After the zombies reach the top of the stairs after the outbreak happens again, the first person to shoot was my dad. He didn't have a big role but in my eyes acting = acting no matter what

Just watched this movie again after seeing it the first time 10 years ago and I realized the thing that hit me the most the first time I watched it: the absolute suffocating loneliness and desperation for connection. I didn’t know that that’s what dragged me in so much when I first watched it, but now I’m seeing how much I still have in common with my 13-14 year old self, and how little but how much everything changed. One thing I think might remain the same 10 more years, 20, 30 years in the future, how alone I feel everyone is but most people find ways to hide that from themselves. I can’t anymore.

I ran out of breath just by listening to this song. The anthem of desperation and survival.

Legendary. Beats Saw, beats Halloween, everything. This is the ultimate horror movie theme

What I love about this film is how brutally honest it is, especially this scene everyone thinks they'd a badass in a situation like that but if you're honest with yourself you wouldn't you'd run too.

This is the musical equivalent of a panic attack building up, slowly, the fear rushes in, your tears are streaming, wanting to throw up
Then the nightmare begins.
