The equation to be worked in two parts. 6x cube - 3 x, so 3x (2x square - 1) and -- 8 x square - 4 So - 4( 2 x square - 1). Hence ( 2 x square - 1)(3 x --4) = 0. Therefore 2 x square = 1, hence x= square root of 1/2 and secondly 3 x = 4 =0, hence x= 4/3= 1 1/3. PSD.

2x^2(3x-4)-1(3x-4)=0
(2x^2-1)(3x-4)=0

2x^2-1=0
2x^2=1
x^2=(1/2)
x=(1/√2)=(√2/2)
