I feel that We the People could eliminate the two-party system whether the government likes it or not, if we would stop voting for the lesser of two evils just because we feel that the 3rd party vote is a waste of a vote. If the 3rd party candidate is actually the best candidate for the job, vote for her/him. If we all do, the 2 party system won't last. We perpetuate it, because of the "Wasted vote" attitude. If Oklahoma is unable to vote for a 3rd party, it seems to me that they need to start voting in more statesman on the local level and focus on amending their local laws.

I live in Oklahoma, and at this point it is illegal for me to vote anyone other than republican or democrat. That's right, we can not even write in our own candidate to the ballot or it will be tossed out as invalid. If this were not the case, I would be voting either for either Jill or Gary.

As I mentioned earlier in my Facebook Status- "If your vote means something to you then that's all that matters"

I'll be voting Green, but support the libertarian candidates in my state (Michigan) as well. Right now their biggest fight is for fair and equal democracy, which is something we need more than anything in America.

The Green Party is neither left nor right, but forward! The Green Party is a party that I trust. This party refuses to take money from greedy corporations. I voted for Jill Stein in 2012. I will vote for her again because she best repreents what I believe. Jill Stein 2016 FTW!

I'll be voting for Dr. Jill Stein this year. I've never voted the one-party-with-two-faces before so my vote isn't "meaningless" or "stolen". I've always thought that a vote for the lesser of two evils is still evil. No need to be scared into pigeonholing yourself.

If Bernie doesn't get the nomination for dems, I will vote 3rd party. The question is, where is independent media giving third parties a fair amount of attention?

Well not usually since in most years all of the Major Third Party Canidates (usually 4 or 5 of them) are all relativley bunched together when it comes to vote totals.

There are a few exceptions Ross Perot in 1992 (and 1996) and to a degree Ralph Nader in 2000.

Assuming Bernie doesn't go independent (which would be crazy) and Hillary isn't indicted, I'll probably go with Jill Stein.

My uncle is going to vote for a candidate in the Reform Party this year

Overall excellent video but as a Libertarian myself I have to correct the "pro-choice" statement because "at will" abortions are VERY controversial within the party itself and the Libertarian party has no official stance on them. As for the pro guns, drugs, and gay statement you are 💯 correct.

It is said that we cannot have an informational video that is unbiased. The constitutional party was the only party that was given a biased tone.

Our current ballot system does not viably support more than 2 political parties. Because of this a vote for a 3rd party is a vote stolen from your second choice and a vote given to "the other guy".

Learn more about the way our current system works and the ways alternate systems work on CGPGrey's YouTube Channel. His videos are funny, educational, and nicely explained.
