This video seemed to assume people who vote third party align with either of the main parties. That's not necessarily true. Not all third party votes are "protest votes".

It's called agenda setting, and this video by NBC is example A. When the press chooses to continuously tell people that third parties can't win rather than give them fair coverage, the audience will regurgitate it. Big parties can pay for ads, and the reason Ross Perot did so well in '92 was because he could pay for them too, even though he was an independent. It's the ultimate irony; A free press is considered the bedrock of democracy, but when it only follows the money it unapologetically perpetuates plutocracy.

I respect the third party voters. I would say majority of folks are tired of the having two of the same choices

I like him, he's doing it for the love of his state not for money.

Because people in this country either live in the bubble on the left or the bubble on the right, especially the media and celebrities with all the influence.

Spongebob for President!

Sandy for Vice President.

Mr. Krabs for Secretary of the Treasury.

Plankton for head of the EPA.

Patrick for Head of the Department of Education.

Squidward for Senate leader. He will serenade everyone with his clarinet skills.

Jesse Ventura ran as an independent and became a governor so need lots of money or name recognition.

If you take 5% from either one, it's a win to help bring the top 2 closer to the 3rd party. That way, if one of the 3rd parties makes one lose or win, it's moves the candidate closer to the party they wanted to win. *It's small win, but at least it makes the top two, listen to the 3rd party. 5%.*

At 3:57 notice NBC cuts her off 2 times, before she finishes with her sentence. It's hard to see.
*The telltale sign isn't just the jump cut, but to hide it with the camera switch of the recording.*

It’s time to get third party candidates on the map. The R’s and D’s just don’t do it for me.

That unnecessary music as if he can’t be taken seriously is ridiculous

Please go back and run this story again in today’s political arena. Larry Sharpe was the only third party who met the last minute demands that only apply to third parties. Today he lost the last chance for a judge to follow the constitution of NY

How can you win in politics if you don't have millions of dollars?

Elections should be funded by the government.

Otherwise you have ultra rich people running, popularity contests, and barriers to access.
