Singapore seeks to serve as hub between China and ASEAN

Singapore wants to ride on China's growth by serving as a hub between the economic powerhouse and ASEAN. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung and Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong outlined this at the FutureChina Global Forum.

Malaysian durians are making direct trips to Chinese heartlands at prices higher than what Spore can pay for. The question is does China need Singapore in the future when they have their BRI running. They have already 2 deep sea ports developed in Malaysia and they are planning to cut a canal thru Thailand linking the SCS to the Indian ocean. Furthermore SG is pro west and India.

Singapore can not just be the trading hub of asean and china so easily by just talk...china need malaysia or indonesia take the role more ..As chinese, i prefer indonesia as it is the first few country to take it sinovac show the trusting and honesty and rolyaty ..and our priority is forcus on islamic population.So close tie with indonesian almost enfluence malasian follow ours foreinge policy..sure the multi-culture singapore wont aganist the interest of our chinese profitable trading routers . the And indonessia have the land and the population and potential customer and it could be the next super power of asean in this coming 20 years, its economic and devolopment will figure out rapidly till top 10.lets us see the result.
