Eating two meals a day is an effective way to lose weight. Limiting your eating to a 12 hour time period or less with only 2 meals a day will put you in an optimal fat burning state while fasting.

Best practices for the 2-meal a day diet;
1- Reduce your carbs for one or two weeks before you try the 2-meal a day diet.
2- Stay in a fasted state for for 12 hours or more, then eat two meals within your 12 hour feeding window.
3- Follow a low to moderate carb diet with healthy fats, lean meats, fish, nuts and a lot of plants.
4- Make sure you are getting enough calories in the two meals.
5- Check with your doctor before starting any new diet program.

Eating only 2 times has helped me and I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks... This works for me and easier to keep track of what I eat..

Great video man, I used to just eat whatever whenever and never stopped myelf, I was going to the gym and training, however I wasnt seeing the results I wanted until I tried the 16-8 diet where I restricted myslef to essentially eating only lunch and dinner, 2 full meals, at first it was hard skipping breakfast, but after a few months of doing this I have a black coffe in the morning and Im off, not only has eating 2 meals really stopped me from randomly eating whatever whenever, It has allowed me to slim down heaps and made me realise my key mistake that I was spending so much time in the gym and so little effort with my nutrition, and the fact is is that fitness is 80 percent what you put into your body, and with 2 meals a day Ive never been more happier with myself

I like this vedio. Been doing this for a while now I ddnt know it was really a thing. I eat twice a day. Especially because of the quarantine am sticking to a workout routine. I ddnt do this because I want to loose weight but I used to stay bloated throught the day, and worse at night. I used to have stomach cramps, going to the toilet was a nightmare. Since I started eating twice a day. Drink more water and cut off snax completely all those problems are gone. I feel lite coz I dont bloat anymore. I really really feel good. But I dont deprive myself of certain foods I eat everything as long as its twice a day. And yes I have lost weight I look good.

I've been doing this fasting for a year now. It's hard at first but your body will eventually get used to it. I dont get cravings in the evening and always skip dinner time. Seems hard but You can do it!

I'm doing a 2 meal a day diet first meal is a large organic salad no meat, last meal protein shake. My eating window is 230pm to 630pm.

Didn't know this was a thing, found it by accident. By that I mean I work as a Baker, during the day. Find when I'm on my feet at work, not hungry. Thirsty as can be from all the moving, but not hungry. Would sneak in some blueberries we have (6 oz shells) because I felt I had to eat something, but eventually without any conscious thought, I stopped even doing that. So I was eating breakfast, and dinner.

I was already trying to lose weight, but noticed it was coming off maybe not faster, but definitely more consistently; no real plateaus. I may try to skip breakfast one day and increase my fasting, but I'm doing about 12 hours fasting since my dinner is usually no later than 6:30 PM. My current set up seems to be working. I never feel really hungry anymore.

I tried this too I was 172lbs I tried it for two days I was 154lbs for breakfast I ate avocado and spinach water 2boiled eggs during lunch pretzels and water dinner before 5 chicken breast with salad water

Hi Mike,
I am following this diet since 3 months now and working out as well. I am seeing results though 👍
Just one question, can I eat whole food both the times.
Example- Rice and Beans with salad in lunch and chicken/tofu/eggs and brown bread (2-3 slices) in the dinner, with one glass milk.

I had a question 🙋‍♂️ I’m fat and I started just to eat 2 meals a day I only eat breakfast and lunch but I eat a fruit around 4 and I stop eating
( i start with a coffee at 7:00 am and at 9:00 i eat my plan yogurt and a banana and I take my last meal at 2:00 white rice with chicken or shrimp for lunch and I don’t eat in till tomorrow at 9 am is that okay ??

I want to try this diet, i thinking oatmeal, eggs, chicken, and fruit for breakfast at 8am. Protien shake around 1pm, then a Salad with chicken for dinner around 6pm. What do you think?

Hey man new sub.

I've went from eating non stop, like every two/three hours I was eating when I use to do powerlifting, I mean big snacks. Then I got into bodybuilding and at the time it was the 6 meals a day thing. It worked won a couple of competitions. Then I left that lifestyle and got into fitness it was the basic 3 meals a day and a snack or two, but "healthy" whatever that is.

Then I became a dad of two, working 40 hours a week my muscles atrophied when I was seriously ill and lost massive amounts of weight from 240lbs down to 126lbs in hospital over 8 months. I recovered and according to the hospital to date I am 50lbs overweight literally just made the cut for obese by 1lb my ideal is 145lbs-165lbs something like that according to the NHS in the UK. But I am very unfit now, after knee injuries, spinal injuries from loading massive plates and deadlifting I'm a wreck.

I've literally seen sense last week my son now 12 and my daughter 9 and said I'm going to get myself back on track before this snowballs into a life on meds. I've teased the idea of Omad, I've tried it a couple of times and it was great I could do it. Losing 5lbs here and there. But soon as a continue eating like I do just being me. It comes back on again. I'm stable at 205lbs it just seems my body wants to stay here.

Open for any suggestions on keeping the weight down. And is there a resetting period the body needs to find.

I found that cutting carbs out altogether on 2MAD is great. Just cut out all the pasta, bread, rice and replace it with veggies such as broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, cabbage. Try to get some fruit in your diet too but keep an eye on that, as some fruits such as bananas have a lot of carbs, stick to strawberries or raspberries.

What do you think of eating breakfast and dinner only where breakfast is 8 in the morning and dinner at 6:00 or earlier?
