Man Finds And Rescues Beached Shark Egg

A man discovered a beached shark egg alive and well and is now taking care of it in hopes of it hatching. Xander De Beer, 35, a fishing charter and content creator, was taking a stroll along the garden route on Natures Valley Beach, Cape Town, South Africa, when he came across the egg. Out of curiosity, he picked it up only to discover it was still alive, before deciding to take care of it in the hopes of hatching so he can release it back into the ocean. Xander believes it’s most likely to be a Puffadder shark, often called the shy shark as they curl up into a ring shape when threatened and cover their eyes.
