Great video. At least on the Mac and Linux if you find yourself with basic command line understanding you don't have to pay a dime. For Mac, brew has all you need. It's super easy. Using ubuntu you can apt-get the heck of it.

Lovely. I use fuse's s3fs. There's a bit of noticeable lag when operating between Europ and Asia but workable.

Thanks for this. Quite a useful and interesting video. Is S3 storage more economical in the long run? I checked the AWS pricing calculator and it's overwhelming for someone like me. The reason I ask is that, i'm currently paying for a lot of cloud storage and I'm looking for something that I can hold on to for a long time. I currently have lifetime storage for pCloud (2TB) and IceDrive (5TB) and yearly iDrive (10TB). Thanks.

Just to complement, the video, As some of the other comments said, this is not a FREE unlimited storage. All aws services has a fee (Only 5 GB are free) then we have to pay for it and it willl be deducted directly from our credit card used when creating our aws account.

But the average amount to pay for 4TB stored there will be around 50 usd a year, maybe less if you use a <snow family> to upload the biggest chunk

Could you tell me if that numbers are correct? Or based on your experience and the storage you are using in the cloud, how much do you pay?

Very nice and informative video but it is not cheap by any means. Not sure who is the target audience though It's clearly not meant for regular homeuser folks. The costs are amounting to a nice chunk of change If you add to the overall storage cost the egress charges ... I guess it is a safe and nice alternative for whoever can afford it . But nice video regardless :)

I use rclone for that in combination with S3. I switched everything from Google Cloud to AWS after Unlimited Storage has been removed
