The problem I have is the amount of time you wasted to get a straight answer. They could have solved the problem with the truth in an hour, instead they made you go through 1000 hoops. Youtube deserves the hate they got. I hope someone got fired because this is just plain incompetence.

Okay, so I see several takeaways:


1. I saw this series when I hadn't even seen any one of your videos before.
2. YouTube and Google, which is the *fourth largest company in the world* doesn't know how to use their own website, which is worth *billions of dollars* .
3. Nothing is gone forever, especially on the internet. The whole reason that people go to jail for *life* is because it is so difficult and you have to go down so many rabbit holes to permanently delete things. Google would have to be the most low-tech website in history to not understand how this works, especially because you need to know how computers actually work to code. Plus, there are always hard copies. I've learned the hard way that computers eat things, but hard copies exist for a reason. Should you have had a backup? Yes. Should they expect you to? No.
4. YouTube thinks that since they either messed something up or don't care, they just need to throw words on a page with incorrect links and hope to God that you don't read it.
5. Twitter nobodies (sorry) such as the people that proved that the videos were there care more/know how to investigate more than YouTube and Google personnel.
6. YouTube only cares when people like Shane Dawson and Gigi Hadid get involved.
7. Twitter has a better recovery process than YouTube.
8. Google and YouTube, the fourth largest company on the globe as of 2019, doesn't have proper customer service for the average consumer.


I'm so glad that this is changing! It's a terrible business practice, and could drive smaller creators that might become the next PewDiePie to not join the site for fear of this happening to them.
