On my wishlist is a bedside watch stand. It would need to hold one or two watches, dial side UP, on a soft platform that won't scratch the case back or allow it to slip around. It must also be able to take a single watch without becoming unbalanced and tipping over! This would answer my "OCD" of not wanting to lay bracelet watches flat because that inevitably brings the case back into contact with the bracelet and leads to scratches. I don't like the designs I've seen already because they are either too bulky or don't provide a level support for the watches.

Love the fact that you always uncover watches we’ve not heard of, most other reviewers do the same brands over & over, you don’t do that Tim, barkeep it up. Like the Django style intro too!

For me the best tank watch is the Echo Neutra - Rivanera mechanical, Sellita movment, sapphire in titanium. Bought it last week and it’s amazing.

The list you presented is uniquely you, Tim! Nowhere else will I see another list like it, and that’s what I enjoy about your channel. The Hanhart book looks beautiful. Thank you for another giveaway. I would love a copy!

Going for a Santos de Cartier this year (in february). I had my eye on that watch for years . And after some setbacks, I finally saved up enough. 🙂

Like the Airain and the CW. I like Baltics, but thee ones don't speak to me.

Good choices. I wouldn't jib against the Airain price but then I found the Hanhart 417 reissue with the same flyback movement for under £2000. I'd love to own both but for now Hanhart got the win.

A interesting and enjoyable list. An idea for you, the Prim is a nice classy looking watch. If you want a watch with those sort of looks at a more affordable price check out the Nivada grenchen antartic spider in black (ive got the silver version) similarish looks, definitely got a 50s vibe and a unique looking dial. Wishing you all the best for 2025, thankyou.

Looks like a great book Tim! I agree, the Type 21 was fantasic, just way out of my price range sadly, so looking at the Landeron Type 20 with the ST19 movement as a goal for 2025. All the best!

Happy New Year to you and your family, Tim. Great selection of watches, my top pick of watches purchased in 2024 was the Lorier Astra. I love the clean design, the size and fit, good quality as expected with Lorier, and it just wears so nicely I totally forget I’ve got it on. Congratulations on the continued success of your channel and all the best for 2025! Richard in UK

For vintage Prim, be careful of the sellers out of Poland, there are (bad) redials, franken watches. Better off buying them on your next visit to Prague. Theres the shop Clock Gallery in the center, Proste Prim is an eshop that might ship abroad(?).

And the new ones... Well for €3k I'd rather have something with a resale value like a pre-coaxial Omega

I would be happy to see a 10 kt gold tank, or to lower the cost even further, a gold-filled case (much more durable than gold plated).

Wishing you all the best in 2025 Tim.

Longines makes some nice solid gold Dolce Vita models which have the tank case style and some have art deco dials. They are 18k, but pricing is reasonable <$5K.

Alexei Leonov's watch (he was the first spacewalker) was a Strela chronograph with a column wheel movement that had a good reputation. The movement known as the 3017 was based on a Swiss Venus movement, but it was made in Moscow. In the 1970's these watches were sold in the West with Sekonda branding and some survive today. I have a sort of reissue with a later cam operated Poljot movement. It would be great to see this historical watch back in its original form but where would the movements come from?? I'd also like to see the 1963 chronograph reissued as it originally looked. Sure we've all seen the Ali express models but I've not been able to find any pics of the originals, though I have scoured the internet and made many enquiries. There is a lot of faux history about the 1963. It would be great to get at the truth.
