I've never had a bridle break on me, but I have had to catch escapees while on trailrides. (When you've been around horses for as long as I have, you find that you aren't the only woman who's brought a horse back with a bra around his neck, or have fed while wearing pj's.)

I always carried a hoofpick on the trail kept one tied to the horn.

2000 acres, , , That's a really small plus, , , Is what I'm used to. Try Being out of cow camp For 2 weeks Or more, , And cow camp is nothing Fancy, Cowboy Bed roll, , , on the ground, , , And the sky is your ceiling. You got to be prepared, And know how to adapt. Always carry matches Or something to build a fire in your shirt pocket, Because you never know when you might get in a bind and need to build a fire to stay warm and stay alive.
