FINALLY got to test out the Steam controller at Alienware booth. It was connected to their Steam machine Alienware Alpha.
Thank you very much for letting me test it out!
Overall the Steam controller was very uncomfortable and wierd.. like a mouse touchpad under your thumb.. but as the guy said that you might need individual setups for the controller and you can even share setups over the internet.. Anyway I hope to get one in my hand at home to do a proper deeper review of this new controller but for now after just having a quick test I was not really pleased :P :D sry Steam.

Remember that guy said it was currently mapping directly to the Xbox controller? I think that's why it might feel laggy - since most games program analog sticks to represent camera "velocity", unlike a mouse which is generally programmed to camera "position" (or rotation). He mentioned that it would be much faster (or less laggy) if it was set to simulating a mouse instead... we hope! :)

I see how this controller need some fingertip for trackpad part. 1. it can makes you more accurate 2. it gives you a bigger area for movement by finger

Don't really see the point with this controller, it seems like a step back when comparing it to PS and Xbox controllers.
